The Steamship Minnehaha Adrift in history Scuttled off the coast of Big Island in 1926, the Steamship Minnehaha was raised in 1980 and restored. It is the last of many such steamers which originally carried passengers to far-flung lakeside hotels and the Big island Amusement Park during the Victorian era.
